Job Description

Globally, Dummen Orange (Red Fox Ethiopia) is the largest young cutting and bedding plant firm with a significant presence in Ethiopia for over 12 years. The company is based in Koka, employs over 2500 staff and has plans to grow further, to strengthen the company operations, to strengthen the commitment to customers and to provide a good working environment for our employees.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Organizing all activities related with area of assignment and ensures high quality output


• Supervising the day-to-day tasks related with agronomic aspect


• Providing regular support & supervision in ensuring excellent group interaction.


• Managing standard as well as own work plans and working to strict time-guidelines.


•  Maintaining effective communication and working relationship with all functional department


•  Quality Control during harvest and post-harvest


• Organisation of Production staff


• Daily Overview and speed list


•  Follow daily employee attendance and work on alternative measure with others


• Interest in plants


• Conduct recruitment of employees in collaboration with Human Resources

Requirement

•  B.SC in Agriculture, Plant Science; Horticulture and other related field of study


• Experience 0- 2 years – Talented Fresh graduate applicants with high management potential are highly encouraged to apply.


• Management Skills (Decision making, Problem Solving, Planning, Time management, Delegation, Communication, Leading etc.)


• Good communication skills, reasonable English communication skills.


• Willing to work for salary against performance, not to hours clocked.


• Ability to work under time pressure


•  Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)


•  Readable Hand writing


• Pro-Active personality


•   Knowledge of local language is an advantage


•  Physical fitness

Terms & Conditions of Employment

Length of Contract: One year management trainee program with possibility of indefinite contract

Duty Station: Dummen Orange /Red Fox Farm – Head Office, Koka – 20 KM West of Mojo, 92 KMS away from Addis Ababa.

Salary:  Management Training Package, Attractive salary.
