Plan International has been operating in Ethiopia since 1995 and currently operates in four regions of the country with a range of multi-sectoral development and humanitarian programmes.

The Role

We are currently searching for a Business Development Manager to expand the funding portfolio and ensure country fundraising targets are achieved. In addition, the successful applicant will be required to assist the senior management in the country office to develop a strong professional image among Plan International donors in order to grow and support Plan Internationals programmes in Ethiopia.

Do you have what it takes?

We are looking for a target driven Business Development Specialist with proven success in the areas of grant proposal development and managing donor relations. You will also be adept at building the capacity of local teams, enabling programme and business services to manage the full funding project cycles in accordance with donor requirements.

In order to succeed in this role you will require experience of accessing humanitarian funding opportunities through global donors and experience of implementing programmes in line with international humanitarian standards.

Previous experience of managing a team would be preferred

Excellent English verbal and written communication skills are required.

Location: Addis Ababa – Country Office

Type of Contract: 2 year fixed term contract

Salary: Circa $50,000 USD per annum plus benefits

Reports to: Country Director
