Ethiopia: Chief of Party, Ethiopia - Ethiopia

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

International Resources Group (IRG), a wholly owned subsidiary of Engility, seeks an experienced Chief of Party (COP) for upcoming USAID Feed the Future project focused on increasing the capacity and productivity of targeted agriculture value chains in Ethiopia. The Chief of Party will provide overall technical, administrative, and financial management leadership; provide overall technical leadership in the design and implementation of project technical strategy; prepare, review and monitor contract reporting and deliverables; oversee the recruitment and engagement of technical staff; liaise with the Engility-IRG home office, relevant USAID personnel, and project partners; and provide technical implementation expertise as necessary to project components. Position is subject to successful award of the projectMINIMUM TANGIBLE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree in agriculture, international development, economics, management, or another related field required


• Minimum of five years of Chief of Party (COP) or equivalent experience on projects with a similar technical focus including agriculture, agribusiness, SME development, and/or value chain strengthening


• Minimum of 10 years management experience on large, complex, and multi-faceted donor-funded projects; USAID project management experience required


• Experience with USAID Feed the Future initiatives preferred


• Experience with market and agricultural value chain approaches


• Experience with value chain competitiveness and private sector orientation


• Excellent representational and team leadership skills


• Regional experience required;


• Strong interpersonal and intercultural communication skills


• Fluency in English required, Amharic language skills an asset
