251 Communication is hiring 2 Freelance Story Board Artists for Be Media an upcoming media and entertainment venture with a strong startup atmosphere. We are looking for talented, experienced applicants with a strong drive to get tasks done well. High excitement, positive attitude is a must.
SummaryThe responsibilities of the Creative Manager is to oversee the entire creative department to ensure a desirable atmosphere and comfortable working environment to enable creative teams to work to the best of their ability without too many distractions and distracting issues.
Responsibilities
- Assist Creative Directors in management of agency Creative Group (Art Directors, Copywriters, Interactive). Keep track of schedules and workloads for each.
- Work with Senior Management to determine which creatives are available and best suited to be assigned to upcoming projects.
- Assist Creative Directors in assigning and briefing creatives on projects. Follow up when necessary to make sure work is on schedule and on track for presentation.
- Act as a concierge to Creative Group. Assist all in finding resources to get projects done.
- Set up systems to facilitate new creatives and freelancers to agency procedures (how to things done in the agency.)
- Research and propose to Senior Management streamlined and cost effective creative processes, resources and technology.
- Individual weekly meetings with Creative Group Partners.
- Work with agency PR Director to generate internal and external press/buzz about the creative work (especially non-traditional advertising) and the Creative Department.
- Work with Office Management to display all mediums of current creative throughout agency.
- Work with placement agencies/recruiters to find qualified creative candidates.
- Portfolio and resume reviews: Art Direction, Copy writing, Interactive.
- Visit creative portfolio schools for recruiting sessions to promote agency to recent graduates and seek out outstanding new talent.
- Set up creative outings. Speakers. Fun questionnaires. Creative quizzes.
- Bring Creative groups together.
- Inter-Creative group meetings/forums. New work and the progression of work can be discussed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in fine arts or – design, communications, marketing.
- Proficiency in Adobe creative suites.
- Demonstrated technique in After Effects, Premiere and Photoshop/Illustrator
- Great writing skills in both Amharic and English
- Proficient in Microsoft office operating platforms
- Curios and ingenious problem solving abilities
- A certain degree of numeracy is a plus!
Educational Background
- A college degree in fine art or film and television production is desirable. Courses in traditional illustration and photography are beneficial
