Marketing and Brand Manager Job at Glorious PLC - 2015


Company Background


Glorious PLC is one of the leading electronics and home appliances importer and distributor in Ethiopia. Presently, the company is undergoing major restructuring to increase its efficiency and market presence. It is now looking forward to recruit highly competent management and staff that can implement the business plan and take the company to higher levels.   


Key Responsibilities


Reporting to the Deputy General Manager, the incumbent is expected to:Oversee development and implementation of appropriate branding and promotion strategies to ensure sustainable competitive advantage and growth based on the marketing strategy of the company.Develop the overall marketing strategy of the company and monitor progress of the same.Measure and analyze performances of each brand vis-à-vis agreed targets/goalsIdentify brand elements & benefits that create differentiation & suggest brand positioning  Develop and suggest appropriate media plan such as advertising, sales promotion, giveaways, truck branding, POS, publicity, outdoor ad, sponsorship, exhibitions, event marketing programs etc. Prepare brand equity measurement and charter that provides relevant guidelines to marketing and sales staff within the company and other partners. Coordinate new product launching programs and monitor promotional/advertisement campaignsAnalyze and investigate price, contribute to developing pricing strategies to maximize company’s profit while ensuring customer satisfactionConduct market research in order to identify market requirements for current and future products/services and profitability of those products/servicesDevelop an annual marketing plan in conjunction with the sales department. This should detail the year’s activity to meet agreed company objectivesNegotiate contracts with foreign suppliers with a view to attract collaboration on company and product promotionMonitor competitor activityMaintain customer databases
