Simien Park Lodges plc. currently looking for a talented and enthusiastic Chef who has passion for hospitality.
Location: Simien Lodge is located 850 km from Addis Ababa within the Simien Mountains National Park.
Key Duties and Responsibilities include
Manage the Kitchen for a smooth Food Production, Promotions and Quality improvement of the menu.Control the food cost by reviewing and approving all store requisitions and direct purchases and maintains minimum waste.Participates personally in cooking and supervising the preparation & Participates in buffet set up and decoration.Facilitates communication between kitchen production and service staff.Ensure that kitchen equipment is in proper working order.Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen, its fixtures and equipment.Guide and train the subordinates on a daily to advance their skills and to obtain new product knowledge.
Must have certified in Food preparation Training from Certified Institute. Minimum of Five Years Experience as a Chef in high standard establishments along with good culinary skills. Ability to communicate well in English. Proven track of food preparation, presentation and preservation knowledge is an essential.

Must be positively spirited, passionate about food and committed to work together with the service team to deliver an amazing guest experiences every time. Strong Leadership skills and the ability to motivate food preparation team.Excellent knowledge of Health & Safety and food Hygiene.Must be a positive, dynamic, creative and dedicated team player with the ability to work in a multi cultural and very remote environment and under difficult condition.Must able to work independently with attention to details.
