Finance and Admin Head Job at Aynage Child and Family Development Organization - 2015


Aynage Child and Family Development Organization (ACFDO) is a community based, not for profit, non-religious and discrimination free indigenous humanitarian organization that exists to help the Deprived, Excluded and Vulnerable Children become productive, confident and responsible citizens, parents and leaders of tomorrow. Located at the capital of Siltiworeda of Silte zone in SNNPR, ACFDO, established in 1999 GC, has been implementing various Development programs and projects. Currently it is implementing Early Childhood care and Development, Basic Education and Youth Development programs, WASH project and Women Economic Strengthening and Natural Resources Management Project in partnership with ChildFund Ethiopia.


Therefore, we would like to invite interested and qualified applicants for the following post.


Position Summary:


This is one of a key position in the structure of the organization. The incumbent is responsible for planning, coordinating, establishing and maintaining financial management policies and procedures for grants, subsidies and other funds remitted to the organization by Donors. He/she leads the Finance team to ensure timely, accurate and useful financial information production and provides technical support to organization manager. He/she is responsible to ensure that organization’s financial management is in compliance with all regulatory requirements as relating to the organization’s financial rule and regulations of the country and donor requirements in conjunction with the Organization Manager. Provide guidance, monitoring, and support on procurement of goods and services; logistical, maintenance of office inventory; ensure staff time sheets are completed as required and maintain records of leave and attendance for project staff; and supervise project administrative and logistics staff and ensure that proper human resources administration procedures are in place for project staff, including tracking of leave, sick days, absence, and other HR actions.




Educational qualification: BA in accounting + 6 years or above related  work experience of which 4 years in the NGO environment. 


Skills: Proven administrative, leadership and management experience of managing a team of Finance and Admin professionals, creating a climate of continuous improvement. Well versatile with advanced accounting software such as peach tree, and accounting guidelines and good application of Word, Power Point and Outlook. Ability to produce and implement clear financial procedures and evaluate the internal control environment.
