Purpose of the Job


The overall purpose of this position is to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of UN Women project on Addressing the determinant effects of Gender Inequality on women health by providing technical supports in project monitoring, evaluation and documentations. The position holder is therefore specifically manages, at Co level, the Monitoring and Evaluation system of UN women project in general and the data collection in particular. He/ She also closely support the project coordinator and involving interventions of UN women project. 


Typical Responsibilities  


Monitoring and Evaluation 


Ensure the project’s planning, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) processes meet sector standards and comply with external accountability requirements.


Assist the development of annual work plan (AWP), performance management frameworks, and logic models and track the project’s operation accordingly.


Manage the project’s Performance Management Framework (PMF), quantitative and qualitative data collection process and data entry into the database system.


Support development of M&E system and data collection tools (quantitative and qualitative).


Manage and coordinate data analysis processes and document results.


Prepare regular reports against PMF baselines and targets.


Maintain and update Risk matrix.


Assist the Inclusion and Health Specialist to effectively work on the project implementation process by feeding reliable project related information and database.


Assist documentation, sharing of lessons and good practices about the project in collaboration with project coordinators and community facilitators.


Provide quality M&E technical assistance to the overall project implementation.  


Provide close follow-ups and supports to Project Area (field project coordinators and community facilitators) on data collection and quality reporting.


Works creatively to support regional staffs in demonstrating effective M&E system


 


Dealing with Problems:


Maintain consistency in project monitoring and evaluation in the PA, leading the consistent application of data collection, analysis and database system


Works creatively to support PA’s staff in demonstrating effective M&E system of UN women project. 




Educational Qualification and Experience


BA level or equivalent degree in economics about 5 years substantial experience in managing database, data collection, data entry and analysis, or diploma in nursing with 5-7 years of experience in relevant subjects.


Good knowledge of project Planning, monitoring and evaluation.


Knowledge of national and at least one regional languages is an advantage


Experience on Gender equality and  women Health programs


Experience on editing, reviewing manuals, and related documents


Experience in preparing leaflets, brochures and pamphlets  preparation


Good data interpretation and analytical skills and high attention to detail


Ability to organize own work.


Ability to communicate clearly.


Good writing and editing skills


Strong team building and motivational skills


Excellent English both written and verbal


Excellent computer skills, Statistical data analysis and database management.


Strong working relationships with colleagues from different functions and cultures.
