Job Title: General Manager
Reports to: The Board of Directors
Place of Work: Addis Ababa with significant amount of travel to the field (Project site)
Salary: Negotiable with attractive benefit packages
Major duties and responsibilities;
• Systematize, direct, manage and control all functions of the Company
• Provide strategic leadership for the Company
• With the direction given from the Board of Directors and support of other staffs, he/she produces evidence- based business plan (strategic plan) of the company as required.
• Design feasible projects and practical action plans that will contribute towards the growth of the Company.
• Establish a robust monitoring and evaluation system, to ensure proper implementation of business plans and projects
• Produce precise performance reports of the company to the Board of Directors
• Provide continuous and proper guidance to the central and field-level staffs to execute their assignments/jobs properly.
• Take maximum care for the protection of the company’s resources and interests
• Create a conducive working environment in the Company.
• Makes informed and creative decisions and make transparent Communication.
• Provide timely responses to the shareholders’ request with the understanding of the Board of Directors
• Accomplish all other related activities to meet the objectives of the Company.
JOB REQUIREMENT
Education: BSc/MSC in relevant Agricultural fields, Engineering, or BA/MBA in Business Management, Economics or other related fields.
Experience: At least 10 years for MSC/MBA/MA and 14 years and above for BSC/BA with 5-6 years of relevant senior managerial position experience in Agriculture-related business and or manufacturing. Experience in management of Sugar or other projects is preferable
