1. Job Title: Resilience Project Coordinator
Work Unit/ Project/ Program: Moyale Woreda (Somali and Oromia) Coordination Office
Terms of employment: One year with the possibility of extension
Place of Work: Moyale Woreda
Main responsibilities:
The project coordinator is responsible for timely, adequate and appropriate implementation of the plans of the Community Resilience Project in Moyale Woreda. The Project coordinator is accountable to the ERCS Moyale Office Head and work in close consultation with the Disaster Risk Reduction department at ERCS HQ. He/she is responsible to maintain effective and efficient partnership with the local government concerned offices.
Qualification Requirements:
• First degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, or other Water & Sanitation related developmental studies or similar disciplines.
• Qualification in health promotion
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in initiation, planning and implementation of Health and Hygiene promotion projects according to internal and national guidelines, agreements and international standards. And out of which at least two years in Pastoral area development programs,
• Knowledge and experience of working with rural communities & local government authorities in a remote setting, understanding of the principles behind and experience in the implementation of WASH programs.
• Proficient in Amharic and English — reading, writing and speaking.
• Computer literate (minimum Word, Excel, power point, email/internet
• Knowledge in local languages Oromo / Somali.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in response to changing needs.
• Willingness to travel frequently to remote rural areas

2. Job Title: DVM (Dissemination, Volunteer and Membership) Officer
Work Unit/ Project/ Program: Moyale Woreda (Somali and Oromia) Coordination Office

Qualification Requirements:
• First degree in social science fields with relevant experience
• Minimum 3years’ experience in relation to responsibilities like volunteer management, resource mobilization, community mobilization
• Knowledge and experience of working with rural communities and local government authorities in a remote setting,
• Experience in working in pastoralist community is desired
• Strong communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Able to speak and write in Amharic and English fluently
• Computer literate (minimum Word, Excel, powerpoint email/internet)
• Knowledge in local languages Oromo / Somali is desirable.
• Ability to ride motor cycle is an advantage
• Willing and able to travel and stay in the project sites frequently
• Self-motivated, able to work with minimum supervision
• Able to deal with many different kinds of people and authorities in a respectful manner
• Understand gender related issues
• Respectful of, and contributing to a good image of the Red Cross values and image
• Aware of, and applying security and safety rules and situation in the field at all times

Qualification Requirements: First degree in Food Security/WASH, Environmental Protection & Climate Change Adaptations, and 10 years work experience
