Store Keeper Job at International Rescue Committee - IRC - 2015

ORGANIZATIONAL DESCRIPTION:

The IRC is a Non-Governmental humanitarian organization working world wide to serve refugees and communities victimized by oppression, natural disaster and violent conflict. The IRC has been working in Ethiopia since 2000 and is currently working in six regions including the Gambella Regional State where it started operations in 2011.

 

SUMMARY STATEMENT OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Under the supervision of Supply Chain, the store keepers is responsible for managing the ware house, prepare and submit inventory reports, maintains files of warehouse documents and keeps updates stock records for  Supply Chain at Gambella Field Office.

 

 

DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

 

The essential function of this position includes, but is not limited to:

Insure proper records of IRC warehouse items clearly & transparently as per IRC warehouse policy. Documentation of all delivery report, store release, lone form & waybill with their Chronological order & transparently. Insure all warehouse items stored properly & safely in the warehouse as per IRC warehouse policy. Monitor & report to immediate supervisor if there is any item with limited/short shelf life.

·         Prepare monthly warehouse inventory report and forward to Logistics Officer on time

·         Insure the security of the warehouse by safely locking the doors

Updating the bin card and the stock card consistently Do the annual Asset and material inventory on time Keep warehouse transaction records updated at all times. Arranging materials in the warehouse in a good way like by Grant and program Perform additional duties when ordered by LO and FC

KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

a)       Internal: all Departments of IRC at camp level and Gambella Field Office

b)      External:  suppliers 

·         TVET Diploma in business courses with a minimum of two years work experience or TVET certificate or high school graduate with a minimum of three years work experience.

·         NGO experience is plus.

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

·         Plus basic computer knowledge (word, excel)

·         Basic English spoken and writing

·         Good communication and interpersonal skills

·         Permanent Address and present address (if different form permanent) and telephone number

·         Disclose any family relationships with existing IRC employees.
