Job Description
Introduction:
Addis Ababa University- School of Public Health has signed a project agreement with the American Cancer Society (ACS) on “Capacity Building for Cancer Research in Ethiopia: Strengthen NCD and Cancer Research at SPH”. The objective of the project is to build institutional capacity at SPH-AAU in generating and disseminating scientific knowledge on cancer causes, prevention, early detection treatment, and survivorship in Ethiopia. The project will have a fulltime coordinator to be based at SPH with the following terms.
Title of Position: Project Coordinator
Number: One
Responsibility: Research project coordinator is expected to :-
1. Coordinate all research activities of the ACS-SPH collaborative project;
2. Provide technical and administrative support for the various research projects;
3. Monitor research activities to ensure compliance,
4. Support dissemination and publication of research project.
5. Be involved in other related activity as needed and report to the PI of the project.
Qualification:
- Masters degree in Public Health or a related field with excellent academic track record
- At least two years of research related experience
- Proven ability to publish scientific peer reviewed manuscripts
Duration and Condition of Employment: Six months contract with possibility of renewal based on performance.
Monthly Salary: 12,000 ETB (subject to tax)
