Join our operation in Ethiopia in a varied and challenging role
The Project Manager – PASAP position provides support in project management in order to strengthen collaboration between eight Country Offices, Regional Offices, Partners and National Offices. You will contribute to increasing Plan’s influence regarding child rights, state accountability and Plan’s global advocacy work worldwide. By bringing up national and international child rights issue at the regional and Pan African level, duty bearers are reminded of their responsibilities and obligations to act accordingly.
Do you have what it takes?
In this varied role you will engage with multiple project partners including Plan COs, ROs and NOs, Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) relevant AU bodies and governmental institutions. You will coordinate the implementation of project activities across the eight focal Country Offices, Plan RESA, WARO and PAO levels as well as with participating partners. You will also be responsible for setting up, reviewing, updating and managing project information/ reports on SAP and communicate findings to the responsible stakeholders.
In order to succeed in this role you will require excellent knowledge of Governance, Monitoring Evaluation and Learning and experience of managing complex projects in a supervisory capacity. You will be responsible for a PO with a minimum annual budget of about $1 million per annum.
Ability to speak French or any of the African Union official languages in addition to English will be advantageous. Experience of working in Africa would also be preferred.
