Amref Health Africa would like to recruit Project Assistant for Gambella DEPP project.


PROJECT ASSISTANT: – ETCO/HR/014/2015


The job holders will be based in Gambella, and reports to Project Officer.
 
Purpose of the Job:


Assisting the efficient and effective implementation of the Project


Key Responsibilities:


Preparing implementation work planMake sure the plan is in line with the project plan of the project officer and project manager by submitting for approval.Reviewing the implantation work plan on timely and regularly bases.Performing needs assessment (from the project beneficiaries).Collecting required information from the partners.Ensuing the availability of resources to timely implement the activitiesSet up budget accordingly the current pricesDevelop and adopt report format to collect relevant information at grass root levelCollecting and compiling periodic reportsPrepare best practice along with implementation of the project at community levelFacilitating training’s for the target groupOrganizing community conversation and conduct proper follow up on it’s implementationActively engage pilot community based breast and cervical cancer identification and referral initiatives of the projectFacilitate implementation activities with supporting partnersDevelop/adopt relevant community based materials to support field activitiesFacilitate require payment (preparing schedule, payment sheet, attendance sheet, course event and other forms.)Monitoring the work of partners based on MOU.Conduct monthly and quarterly review meeting with stakeholdersConducting site supportive supervision in collaboration with sub city health office



Job Requirements


Diploma in public health and related in service training’s 3 years experience in related areaNGO experience has an added valueGood interpersonal communication skillsCommunication & writing skills in both Amharic & EnglishDemonstrated skills in liaising with partner agencies;  Ability to seek, provide and accept constructive criticism and to promote personal and organization growth through lessons learntExcellent computer skills: MS Windows, MS Word and ExcelIn addition the ideal candidate must have strong analytical, problem solving and networking skillsBe a team player and communicator and work under minimal supervision
