Save the Children has been working in Ethiopia for almost 50 years and the organization has developed into one of the largest international NGO (Save the Children International) beginninvg October 2012 with it’s seven member organizations. Currently, organization operates a programme that involves humanitarian relief and development intervention. Save the Children, Implementing Partners and Government stakeholders and feed into the future strategy particularly in the context of WASH programming in the pastoralist region.
Save the Children Ethiopia Country Office, therefore, wants to hire competent Consulting firms for the consultancy work on an End of Project Evaluation Project Name “Water, Sanitation, Basic Infrastructure and Hygiene Promotion for Pastoralist and Agro-Pastoralist Population in the Somali Regional State of Ethiopia”
The consulting firm should have:-
· Academic backgrounds with a minimum of advanced level degree in water resource and public health/environmental engineering, particularly water resource/hydraulic/hydrogeology, public health/environmental /sanitary engineering, community development/sociologist/socioeconomic or related fields. Consultants comprising of team members from the above disciplines are more preferable.
· Relevant academic and professional background in WASH/Rural Development programs.
· Documented experience in conducting studies, assessments, project reviews, surveys, evaluations on problems related to WASH and producing quality report.
· Skills in qualitative evaluation design and analysis; quantitative research skills highly desirable.
· Experience in documenting good practices related to pastoralist WASH projects.
· Familiarity/exposure to rural/similar project intervention area.
· Experience in developing communication materials.
· Documented experience and skills in working with and interviewing children.
· Awareness on the latest information on WASH programming (WIF)
· Strong background in program monitoring and evaluation
· Experience within an international NGO preferably at both country. Strong grasp of internal and external funding mechanisms
· Planned continuation working in WASH sector consulting
· Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
· Fluency and proficiency in written and spoken English, and excellent communication skills.
· Sound Knowledge and experience in the Ethiopian WASH system and policy environment related to WASH sector.

Interested applicants should submit the expression on interest completed and signed and stamped two separate sealed documents of one technical proposal including curriculum vitae of the proposed professional(s) with supporting document along with copy of renewed firm’s License, and Two Financial proposal “one original” and one Copy ‘including professional fee proposal on the basis of daily rates, VAT and perdium costs, as well as transport costs separately for the stated work. to the above mentioned address of Save the Children, Ethiopia Country Office before or on June 15, 2015 at 2:00 P.M in person.
