Mechanical Engineer - Coffman Engineers, Inc. - Spokane, WA

Coffman Engineers has an immediate need for a dynamic, innovative, and quality-oriented Mechanical Engineer with a background in HVAC consulting engineering to join our group as a long-term member of our highly-respected team. Our backlog is strong and this position offers the opportunity to work on impactful and complex projects primarily in healthcare, laboratory, and higher education. We are looking for someone who works effectively with all personality types, interested in developing close relationships with our great clients, and who desires to grow professionally and stay involved in the activities and exciting trends in the industry. We anticipate that the position will involve a mix of design work for construction documents, preparation of energy models, construction support, and new project scoping and proposal writing. We work in tight-knit teams that support each other and are managed with a healthy work-life balance that is focused on development and caring for the whole person. The successful candidate will have a minimum of twelve years of experience in the HVAC consulting engineering field with at least five years of experience in energy modeling.

Requirements include:

· Registration as a P.E. required

· Energy modeling experience with Trane Trace required

· ASHRAE Certifications and active involvement preferred

· Experience with lean design and pull planning preferred

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
