Job Description

Store keeper:
• Receives stores & issues supplies & equipment & complies records of supply transactions aboard ship, verifies that supplies received are listed on requisition & invoice
• Store supplies & equipment in storeroom
• Inventories supplies & equipment at end of each voyage
• Complies report of expenditures
• Maintain inventory
• Maintains files & prepare reports
• Maintains files appropriate to the activities of the unit, such as invoices, order number, receiving date, shipping date, etc
• Prepare reports
• Reconciling work order quantities with inventory records
• Perform inventory counts as required monthly, quarterly, mid- year inventory, year- end inventory & physical inventory & prepare year- end inventory reports
• To ensure safe keeping both as to quality & quantity of raw materials & products

– Basic computer skills
