Tetra Tech ARD, headquartered in Burlington, Vermont (http:www.tetratechintdev.com/) is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a Crop Value Chain Advisor and Livestock Value Chain Advisor on a USAID-funded Feed the Future activity in Ethiopia that is designed to increase agricultural productivity and production to ensure that growth is broad-based, improve linkages to domestic and international markets, as well as support agriculture and nutrition linkages

Value Chain Advisor Responsibilities:

• The Crop Value Chain Advisor will inform and implement the value chain development strategy. The individual will supervise staff and ensure that the quality of work leads to the achievement of the activity goals. The advisor will work closely with the other leadership team members to coordinate closely with all stake holders to identify and resolve conflicts and to find opportunities to strengthen collaboration.

Crop Value Chain Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in crop production, agriculture, agribusiness, agricultural economics or related field is required or equivalent work experience.


• Ten years of professional work experience in crop production and/or crop protection, food security or relevant or related sector


• Seven years of experience related for profit agribusiness or value chain development including facilitation, agribusiness, marketing and financial services, private sector development, and enabling environment policy reforms.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Advanced ICT skills.


• Five years of experience with gender mainstreaming

Livestock Value Chain Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in livestock management, agriculture, agribusiness, agricultural economics or related field is required or equivalent work experience.


• Ten years of professional work experience in livestock production and/or protection, food security or relevant or related sector


• Seven years of experience related for-profit small business and small scale agribusiness or value chain development including facilitation, agribusiness, trade, marketing and financial service and private sector development.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Advanced ICT skills.


• Five years of experience with gender mainstreaming
