We are looking for:

A NUTRITION EXPERT

Country: ETHIOPIA – Gambella

Length of Contract: 12 Months starting as soon as possible**

The position: Under the supervision of the Field Coordinator, you will be responsible to provide technical support for the implementation Nutrition Program according to the Charter of Principles of ACF/ National Protocols, as well as universal health standards. More precisely, you will in charge to:**

Overall Nutrition response management with regards to Nutrition program activities

• Design and review the CMAM program response implementation approach in refugees context and in the host community


• Review and conduct capacity building needs assessment for nutrition team


• Determine technical areas for training and develop the CMAM training


• Ensures CMAM program performance indicators are monitored, reported and reach performance according to international/national thresholds.


• Proposes and initiates improvements according to the needs and toward exist strategy

Program, context analysis and external representation

• Make sure the nutrition program and activities are in line with project definition and timeframe.


• Assess adequacy between program and needs and adapt if necessary


• Coordinate with the health and nutrition authorities at woreda, zone and regional levels


• Participates to any nutrition and health coordination meetings at regional and woreda levels


• Coordinates with the other nutrition and health NGOs and Nut cluster at regional level


• Keep an update on the evolution of the health and nutrition situation in all the areas targeted by the response

Reporting

• Support the Preparation of monthly activity reports


• Support the reporting for UNHCR, WFP and ARRA

The Applicant: You hold a Master degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Nurse or Medicine with 3 years minimum of field experience in the coordination of nutrition program through the health system in emergencies contexts. You are recognized for your technical expertise in CMAM and/or SMART/SQUEAC and your good writing capacities. You have also a good knowledge and experience in capacity building and training skills.

Excellent diplomacy, negotiation and representation skills are required thus team management experience.

You are also able to live in a African Town with limited expatriate presence and with some security constraints.

Your English is fluent (spoken and written).

Gross monthly salary ranging from €1805 to €2305 depending on relevant experience

Food and hygiene expenses, per diem, transportation costs, collective or individual accommodation, medical insurance

25 days of annual paid leaves and 20 days of rest and recuperation (R&R) per year
