Marketing Officer-Region (Re-Advertised)

Job Description


The marketing Officers based at the assigned Area Offices will oversee the planning, development, organization, implementation and monitoring of all marketing activities for all MSIE projects. He/she will receive, technical support and direction from the MSIE marketing department from SO. He/she will collaborate with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective implementation of marketing activities at area level.


Specific Responsibilities



  • Organize and execute community based promotional campaigns in collaboration with program officers and community representatives.

  • Conduct community mobilization, awareness and sensitization for services and products provided by MSIE.

  • Initiate the design and production of  promotional materials at local level in consultation with Marketing department to promote products and services for all delivery channels

  • Participate in MSIE or partner initiated multi-stakeholders advocacy and communications activities forums with the aim of raising MSIE’s profile in the agenda of government, partner NGOs and community.

  • Take the lead in pretesting of developed messages to assess their appropriateness for the local community.

  • Participate in the development and review of advertisement messages / materials in collaboration with other program staff, counterparts and community representatives.

  • Contribute in the development and review of relevant communication training materials and job aids.

  • Using the available tools, capture and monitor all Marketing activities.

  • Support the Program Officers and CHWs by initiating and implementing promotional activities to increase e-voucher uptake in centres and BlueStars (BS)

  • Collect and manage the distribution of promotional materials  for all service outlets (SF, PFS & Centre)

  • Produce an integrated annual marketing & community mobilization and interventions plan with support from SO Marketing department for mobilization by all service channels (SF, PFS & Centre) of the field office.

  • Conduct regular spot checks on Branding, brand visibility, promotional material placement at all   service channels  (SF, PFS & Centre)  report and disseminate findings suggestions to Field and Area Managers for corrective measures by respective Program Officer if need be.

  • Coordinate overall partnership, sponsorship, communication & community mobilization activities in the assigned area office.

  • Serve as a public relations liaison officer at the assigned Area Office; create and maintaining positive relationship with key stakeholders; Regional and Zonal Government Officials, media houses and other NGOs and community leaders.

  • Propagate themarketing concept to MSIE centre staffs, CHWs and  BS clinic staffs through training and on job trainings

  • Organize quarterly, biannually & annual performance review meetings & workshops under the field  office

  • Undertake regular documentation of best practices including lessons learnt and success stories and organize shared learning’s within MSIE for better performance and achievements.

  • Produce & submit proceedings of performance review meetings at area office level and compile and document proceedings of performance review meetings of field office level

  • Ensure the availability and usability of client feedback materials and mechanism at all MSIE centres.

  • Produce & submit qualitative report following quarterly based technical support & compiled the quantitative parts from the quarter reports of other officers with standard MSIE reporting format

  • Execute other activities assigned by immediate supervisor



Person Specification


 1.  Required Qualification


  •     BA Degree in Marketing

2.  Experiences:


  •  Five (5) years of hands on experience in marketing activities after graduation in first Degree.

3. Skills required, Attitudes and Attributes


  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Accepts responsibility, is self-motivated and accountable for achieving revenue and profit targets.

  • Results-oriented, excellent ability to utilize and manage the organization’s resources to achieve goals.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive cross-functional teams to bring new products to market.

  • High energy and passion towards solving real-world client’s needs related to Reproductive Health care and management.

  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages
