Our client a leading European construction contractor in Infrastructure / Tunnelling & Power (Hydro), and have current requirement for a Contract Manager to oversee contractual (FIDIC) aspects and issues on the Civil Construction operations of RCC Dam / Hydropower projects in Ethiopia.
The Hydro Power projects include a €1.5Billion, MW1800 with 240m high RCC Dam.
There is an opportunity to work in Italy with travel to project.
You will:
* Prepare claims, variation orders and payments.
* Identifies risks and issues, suggests alternatives that lead to the best solution.
* Reviews and manages contractual obligations of the parties and provides continual review to ensure that all terms and conditions are met.
* Assisting the Project Management to achieve contractual compliance on processes and procedures.
* Manage any disputes with Government / Client / Subcontractor / Vendor areas.
* Provide negotiation and contractual guidance to staff.
* Ensure that minutes are recorded of relevant meetings with consultants, client and other relevant parties as required.
* Protects company from unnecessary contract liabilities, damages, penalties, etc.
* Draft letters for claims and EOT, assessing risk, negotiate, and critically review all types of agreements;
You should be/have:
* Degree qualified (ideally QS or equivalent) PQE 10+ years.
* Experienced working with FIDIC form of contract on similar Major Civil projects including Tunnels, Mass placement of concrete, Dams and ideally Hydropower.
* Significant international project experience.
* Fluent in English.
