PEOPLE IN NEED IS SEEKING FOR HEAD OF PROGRAMMES/ OFFICE IN ETHIOPIA Location: Ethiopia, Awassa Starting date: July 2012 Duration: 2 years

People in Need has been operating in Ethiopia since 2003.. Since the very beginning PIN implements projects in field of education, WASH, agriculture, NRM, livelihoods and social protection. Programmes are located in Region of Southern Nations, in Somali Region, in Oromiya state and in Addis Abbaba.

At the moment PIN is seeking for person who would supervise and develop our technically oriented programmes (NRM, WASH, FIM). Our current project are focused on agricultural education support, natural resources management, forestation, renewable sources of energy, and small scale agribussiness. Main responsibilities:

overall supervision and support of currently implemented programmes in all the phases of project cycleregional office management, national team managementensuring quality of programmes and further development in compliance with PIN strategies and policiesbuilding of synergy among the programmessupervision of procedures in field of M & Etaking a lead in formulating programme strategy, new project designingrepresentation PIN towards donors, local partners and community

Candidate fitting to this position meets these following requirements:

proven 5 years of experience with programme management, incl. proposals writing and PCMsound experience with team management, inc. development of national team capacities, intercultural experience preferreduniversity degree in following field (water engineering, agriculture, environmental studies)excellent English, both written and spokenprevious experience form the region preferredexcellent communication and organisation skills
