JOB SUMMARY
The Nutrition Program Manager is a management position with supervisory and managerial responsibility for infant and young child nutrition (IYCN) projects. The manager will work closely with the Product Supply Chain and Distribution and Technical Service departments (in particular with Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), Behavior Change Communication (BCC) and Social Marketing functions). S/he is mainly responsible for the proper design, planning and implementation of upcoming campaigns promoting fortified complementary food (FCF), rural grain banks (RGB) and micronutrient powders (MNPs). S/he will ensure the timely project DELTA planning, implementation and monitoring of IYCN projects execution progress for quality, accountability, and measurable impact. The manager will play key role in refining project strategies, implementation and fundraising activities. This position has two direct reports and reports to the Social Marketing Program Director.  
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Achieve health impact and responsible for 100% Disability-Adjusted Life Year – DALY’s averted by integrated IYCN interventions.Manage 2 projects and 2 PI with annual budget of about 5K USD for FCF and other nutrition projects.Develop market-based business models for more sustainable IYCN programs.Design, plan and manage different Child Survival (CS)/IYCN projects including budget management with monthly Activity Status Report (ASR) review with finance team and achieve annual revenue target (Technical responsibility/Project Management)Set and design sales target achievement plan for improved complementary food products through commercial and institutional sales by working closely with sales and distribution team.Manage implementation of Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) social marketing of FCF with monthly, quarterly, biannual and annual project progress reports to CR and the donors.Lead timely review/update of Child Survival projects DELTA plan, and ensure its execution with social marketing function.Lead GAIN and other Public Private Partnership (PPP) relationships with Micronutrient Initiative, UNICEF, etc.Represent PSI/E in relevant maternal, child health and nutrition technical working groups.Coordinate GAIN and MI projects- monitor quality assurance and registration for the timely requesting of FCF and MNPs, and ensure supply continuity in the market.Coordinate with the M&E function and sales/distribution team for IYCN projects’ timely and quality monthly data collection, entry to the central data base and reporting. Ensure donor and government compliance for regulations and procedures, reporting and maintaining working relationships with governments, Nutrition & WASH networks, partner agencies and NGOs.Play a key role in fundraising activities related to child survival projects- Sanitation, Nutrition and Neonatal health including preparing follow on funding for GAIN and MI projects.Manage CS department staffs including setting MBOs and conduct their performance appraisal.Oversee effective implementation of PSI/Ethiopia objectives as they relate to CS/IYCN programs andPerform any other related activities as assigned by his/her supervisor.
