CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER (CFO)

Finance

Chairman/CEO/Board of Directors

Directs the organization's financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationship with lending institutions, shareholders, and the financial community, and handling all IT/Software related requirement of the company by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.

{C}v  {C}{C}{C}Main duties:

{C}Ø  Accountable for developing and executing an overall financial strategy for National Cement Share Company to maximize value creation.

{C}Ø  Accountable for Company adherence to statutory requirements and standards.

{C}Ø  Accountable for developing, implementing and managing effective and timely financial planning, reporting and controlling processes to support key decision makers (Chairman, CEO, President and Board of Directors of National Cement Share Company.

{C}Ø  Oversees and directs treasury, budgeting, audit, legal/contractual matters, accounting, purchasing, real estate, long range forecasting, and insurance activities for the organization.

{C}Ø  Directs the IT/ERP Manager in providing and directing procedures and computer application systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services.

{C}Ø  Accountable for effective and efficient management of the firm’s financial operations

{C}Ø  Accountable for translating and aligning firm’s strategic goals with performance metrics

{C}Ø  Develop 1-5 years financial plans and annual budgets

{C}Ø  Prepare the short-mid range financial plan of the National Cement Share Company.

{C}Ø  Contribute to strategic planning and development as a member of executive team, keeping and distributing notes and reports to executive and management team

{C}Ø  Coordinate the cash flow and banking relations, provide the tools for an ongoing control of the National Cement Share Company cash flow and make, when necessary, corrective actions in cash issues

{C}Ø  Coordinates the data preparation for the National Cement Share Company balance sheets and its presentation

{C}Ø  Supervise the activities of general and analytical accountability, the fiscal and legal affairs, treasury analysis, controlling and consolidated balance sheet

{C}Ø  Coordinates the activities of data collection, check and consolidation for the annual budget and ensure consistency with long term plan

{C}Ø  Supervise the analysis of actual vs. forecast data, sharing and discussing budget deviation causes with the Chairman/CEO.

{C}Ø  Functionally coordinate activities of Controllers at all levels (product/brand, region, and country), defining standards and procedures and being involved in their evaluation, bonus definition, salary increases, trainings, etc.

{C}Ø  Establish and maintain operational budgets for his team personnel and equipment

{C}Ø  Collaborate with all other directions to maximize National Cement Share Company performance.

{C}Ø  Directs the other accounts/finance staff in activities such as custodian of funds, securities, and assets of the organization.

{C}Ø  Appraises the organization's financial position and issues periodic reports on organization's financial stability, liquidity, and growth.

{C}Ø  Analyzes, consolidates, and directs all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports.

{C}Ø  Oversees and directs the preparation and issuance of the corporation's annual report.

{C}Ø  Directs and analyzes studies of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their impact on the organization's policies and operations.

{C}Ø  Analyzes operational issues impacting functional groups and the whole institution, and determines their financial impact.

{C}Ø  Evaluates and recommends business partnering opportunities.

6.1 Qualification:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 6.2 Education:

Master's degree (M.Com/MBA/CMA/CA.) or equivalent; and fifteen to twenty years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

6.3 Language skills: (written & spoken)

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

6.4 Mathematical Skills

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.  Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

{C}1.      {C}Awareness on safe use of computers, Video Display Terminals, electrical connections, etc. 

{C}2.      {C}Knowledge of fire hazard and precautions while dealing with flammable material like papers, plastic covers, etc.

{C}3.      {C}Identifying and reporting of potential conditions for fire or conditions for accident arising from the furniture, electrical fittings, etc.

{C}4.      {C}Dealing with the legal authorities in conjunction with the Safety Coordinator.

{C}v  {C}{C}{C}Functional Relationship:

{C}Ø  {C}{C}{C}With the all Department Managers and supervisors to make sure that any finance related matters are dealt at a high degree of professionalism.

{C}Ø  {C}{C}{C}To coordinate with External suppliers and customers, Bank staff and Auditors for a smooth functioning of the Organization.
