Objective of the project

DAI are seeking both local and international experts for an anticipated DFID funded programme in Ethiopia around Governance, Justice and Security. This programme will seek to achieve peace and stability through designing and implementing reforms and building public confidence in police, crime prevention and crime investigation. A big part of this programme will focus on seeking to provide access to justice to both women and girls. In addition, this programme will seek to provide capacity building for government ministries.

Start Date: 2012/2013

We are seeking a number of experts with the following skills/background:

Team Leader (Justice Sector and Africa experience) Justice Experts (Africa experience required, preferably Ethiopia/East Africa) Community Policing Experts (East Africa experience required) Conflict Mitigation (Africa experience required) Capacity Building/Training (Justice Sector and Africa experience) Access to Justice for women and girls (Gender expert, with Africa experience in Justice Sector) Monitoring & Evaluation Experts (Justice Sector experience required)

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience Previous long-term experience in donor-funded projects in relevant field Experience in working in conflict areas and ethnically diverse contexts in African countries strongly preferred An advanced degree or a Masters in the relevant field would be highly desirable Candidates must be fluent in spoken and written English Ethiopian citizens are encouraged to apply
