Market Access Specialist- Ethiopia

CHF International is seeking a Market Access Specialist for a proposed 5-year USAID-funded Graduation with Resilience to Achieve Sustainable Development (GRAD) program in Ethiopia. This program will focus on designing and supporting enhanced livelihood options of chronically food insecure households by promoting and supporting on- and off-farm income generating activities, facilitating market linkages, increasing access to microfinance services, improving nutritional status of communities and assisting communities to adapt to climate change.

The Market Access Specialist will provide strategic technical program implementation direction for the Market Access for Inputs and Outputs component of the program. S/he will provide technical leadership in identifying opportunities and constraints to output markets and input supply systems, facilitating and supporting the linkage of IGAs with product markets, supporting linkages between producers and other stakeholders, assessing market options for the supply of inputs, supporting the integration of successful input technologies in the target household business plans, and assist the involvement and contribution of the private sector in the process.

Qualifications
•Masters degree or equivalent experience in Business, Economics, International Development or related field.
•Proven ability to relate to the particular needs of vulnerable population in facilitating their capacity to build household assets and access economic resources
•Minimum of 5 years experience managing programs that employ market development best practices, such as microenterprise development and value chain development
•In-depth knowledge of USAID programmatic, compliance and reporting requirements.
•Innovative program development and management skills.
•Fluency in English required.
