General Summary:
AECOM International Development seeks Chief of Party candidates for an anticipated USAID-funded Trade Policy/Facilitation Project in Ethiopia. The multi-year program will be aimed at improving the Government of Ethiopia’s capacity to successfully develop and implement trade policies, as well as streamline and modernize customs practices in Ethiopia as a means to further accelerating sustainable economic growth.
AECOM seeks a Chief of Party with experience in the following technical areas:
* Automated customs administration.
* Customs and tariff regulatory reform
* Cross border transit improvements through regulation, policy and infrastructure reform.
* Trade capacity building aimed at multilateral, regional and bi-lateral trade policy development
* Trade Negotiations
Qualifications:
· Ten to fifteen (10-15) years of strong program and/or technical component management experience on USAID-funded economic growth programs related to trade and customs improvement.
· Master’s degree or higher in relevant field.
· Demonstrated technical expertise in one of the areas outlined above.
· A strong working knowledge of development and foreign aid, with emphasis on the priorities of USAID.
· Experience managing complex economic growth projects. Experience in Africa preferred.
· Fluency in written and spoken English required. Amharic language skills highly desirable though not required.
· Strong management skills and excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
