A high achieving performing arts secondary school in west London is looking to appoint a maths teacher for September 2013. Students travel afar to learn at this amazing school.
The secondary school is a small but high achieving specialist school with 215 students. It?s one of the highest achieving schools for maths and English of its kind, with 88% A-C passes.
As a maths teacher you will be expected to maintain high standards in small class sizes of 7-13 students per class. Teaching and learning within the school has been graded as ?Outstanding?. The school runs a shorter term with longer holidays than the state school system.
As a maths teacher you will be required to take on the role of tutor or co-tutor.
The experienced headteacher is committed to staff development and external training. With a performing arts background, the head is highly focussed on the success of each student and the level of academic teaching that is provided.
To apply for this amazing teaching position, maths teachers must have a teaching degree in secondary maths with experience teaching in a UK school. Existing experience teaching maths within an independent or performing arts school is preferred however not essential.
Applicants must be keen to teach within a performance heavy environment, with 60 shows per academic year.
