Leadership Development Project Officer

Under the supervision and guidance of the Director of the Institute of Leadership and Good Governance, the Leadership Development Project Officer will have the following roles and responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to the implementing partner on day to day implementation of project activities and makes sure that planned activities are undertaken as per the annual work plan of the project.
• Provides support to the implementing partner for timely fund request, utilization and reporting of allocated resources
• Liaise with key national, regional, and local stakeholders from Government and key international actors to build and strengthen strategic alliances and partnerships on leadership development initiatives.
• Support the UNDP Ethiopia CO and ECSC in mobilizing resources for leadership development initiatives.
• Plans and undertakes monitoring of project implementation and produces reports on a quarterly basis on progress of project activities and delivery of development results to be shared with project partners (UNDP, French Embassy, ECSC, Ministry of Civil Service and MoFED)
• Facilitates quarterly programme review meetings and brings to the attention of relevant bodies issues arising out of the meetings which require follow up actions.
• Transfers skills to the implementing partner on project planning and development project management
• Work closely with the finance officer in preparation of FACE advance request and financial reports.
• Support preparation for NEX audits and corporate reporting requirements.
• Monitor and report on implementation of programme activities in accordance with the approved programme document, work plan and budget, assuring quality of the data presented
• Analyze, consolidate, edit and/or draft progress and financial reports on a quarterly basis, as well as biannual and annual reports, through liaison and close consultations with UNDP Governance Unit Programme Analyst.
• Ensure that all reports prepared are results based with indications of programme strengths and weaknesses.
• Ensure that annual work plans and annual reports are prepared accurately and submitted to all stakeholders.
• Undertake additional tasks assigned by the Director of the Institute of Leadership and Good Governance.

• Strong analytical abilities, particularly in the areas of governance, strategic planning, capacity development/transfer
