ABOUT US
GOAL has been working in Ethiopia since 1984 implementing a range of development, resiliency and humanitarian responses – working with street children, pastoralists and rural small holders. Currently GOAL Ethiopia’s major funders are USAID/OFDA, ECHO, BPRM, Irish Aid/MAPS, Irish Aid/EHAF, UNOCHA.GOAL currently work in over 25 woredas across four Regions of Ethiopia and we deliver a range of programs including child protection, development, nutrition, emergency relief and rehabilitation. In 2005 GOAL, in partnership with USAID/OFDA, established the Humanitarian Response Programme (HRP) to respond to emergency nutrition situations in Ethiopia. This programme has grown substantially over the years, and is now multi-donor and multi-sectorial, with interventions throughout Ethiopia.
ABOUT THE ROLE
GOAL Ethiopia is looking for a competent, motivated, experienced worker to join Head Office, Finance team and this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team. You will be joining the organisation at a moving time of growth and change and you’ll be instrumental in providing support in the delivery of the Program to the organisation and its employees.
ABOUT YOU
You’ll be an Officer experienced with both developmental and humanitarian works. You’ll ensure accurate recording, arrangement and security of files in the Finance Department of GOAL Ethiopia Head Office. You must be eligible to work in Ethiopia.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Diploma in accounting or related fields and 1-2 years of work experience/ 12 grade complete with 3 – 4 years of work experience,
· Good organizing, recording and documenting skill.
· High attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently.
· Able to work in team.
· Ability to communicate (Spoken and Written) in the English language.
· Basic knowledge of computer applications – Word and Excel, use of internet and e-mail.
· Sensitive to cross cutting issues like gender, accountability, child protection and HIV/AIDS.
Desirable requirements:
· Having an INGO experience will be an advantageous.
· Prior experience in accounting or related field.
· Good computer skills.
· Managing work under pressure.
Remuneration & Benefits:
Salary
Birr 6,996.00/month
Transportation Allowance – 10% of monthly salary and 300 taxi fare.
Medical Allowance – Birr 6500/annum (will be added in your monthly salary)
