Position: Head of Legal
- Ensure legal compliance in all related business activities and protect legal interests of ETE
- Control and lead the drafting of contracts, orders, instructions, regulations and other legal acts
- Prepare opinions on legal questions arising in the course of business
- Provide legal advice to departments in claims, preparation and transmission of the necessary materials
- Represent company in court, arbitration, and other state and public organizations in the process of legal issues
- Provides necessary information on current legislation and the organization of the company officialsacquaintance with regulations relating to their activities
- Lobbies legal requests with relevant government stakeholders and manages contracted law firm services
Qualication:
- Master degree in the field of law or equivalent experience
- 10 years or more of professional work experience, thereof 5 years or more in corporate law at a senior level in retail/distribution/wholesale/FMCG industry
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including supervising legal staff and coordinating with both internal and external partners
- Substantive knowledge of Ethiopian law
- Licensed to practice law in Ethiopia
