Country:Ethiopia – roving
Length of contract: 6 months – ASAP.
Main goal : Support the improvement of FC and support functions
Objective 1:Field support and gap filling as assigned by CD
- Build the capacity of field co’s (through gap analysis and support plan) in all aspect of their JD including:
- Monitor the good functioning of the base, support the FC for needed correction, report to CD major challenges, directly manage/supervise tasks if authorised by CD.
Objective 2: Conduct data analysis and field assessment as assigned by CD (to be coordinated
with DCDP)
· Taking the lead and coordinating the survey team (TA/HoD, PM/base support, FC, surveyors…) in conducting emergency assessments
- Support and supervise the design and implementation of tools to launch needs assessments
Supervise the design and implementation of tools and procedures to monitor and evaluate ACF field activities
- Produce a final assessment report
Objective 3: Management of start-up of new bases (2 reopening and 1 new base opening are planned)
- Act as field coordinator in case of opening of a new base
- Train/coach new field co or head of bases
- Draft new bases security plan or update existing plans when reopening of existing base.
- Handover responsibilities when replacement field coordinator arrives
Objective 4: Reporting, communication and representation
- Provide regular updates and reports directly to the Country director
- Follow all communication to and from field coordinator when supporting a base
- Attend meeting and represent ACF in the field when filling gap and in Addis as per CD request
Objective 5: Supervise support project or tasks (log, HR, fin, liaison) as delegated by CD
- Undertake any additional responsibility delegated by the CD (as example: HR training policy, salary/benefit policy review, staff regulation, HR software, archive, communication, , security plan review, base security follow up, stock cleaning, preparedness stock organisation, financial control at base level, new deal processes implementation…)
- If time allows, work on emergency preparedness of main bases.
Objective 6: Assist bases and finance team in Addis to prepare budget projections
- Work with field team to build budget projections when needed
The applicant
Education: master level required (work permit)
Previous experience of field co needed.
experience as administrator or log admin is a plus
Experience in Ethiopia a plus.
Other remarks: The post holder will spend 75% of his time in the field. Flexibility to move to the field at short notice required
Status:
Competitive salary offered up to 3500 € net + accommodation and medical insurance.
25 days of annual paid leaves and 20 days of rest and recuperation (R&R) per year.
