Job Description:
Introduction
The Ethiopian Center for Disability and Development (ECDD) Association was established and registered with the Ministry of Justice in December 2005. Following the Charities and Societies Proclamation of 2009, ECDD was registered by the Charities and Societies Agency on 3 November 2009 and re-registered on 6 December 2012 as an Ethiopian Residents Charity. ECDD has 60 Association members, a 7-member Board of Directors, and 20 staff members, the majority being persons with disabilities. ECDD works collaboratively with other organizations to promote and facilitate “disability inclusive development” in Ethiopia – the inclusion of disability issues and persons with disabilities in mainstream government service delivery and development organization programs.
ECDD is partnering with nine organizations namely Mercy Corps Ethiopia, CARE Ethiopia, Kimetrica, Action for Integrated Social Development Association (AISD), Aged and Children Pastoralist Association (ACPA), SOS-Sahel Ethiopia, Horn of Africa Voluntary Youth Committee (HAVYOCO), Haramaya University, and Friendship Support Association (FSA ) to implement a project entitled “Pastoralist Areas Resilience Improvement through Market Expansion (PRIME)” funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). ECDD works to ensure the full participation and inclusion of disabled pastoralists, agro-pastoralists and people Transitioning out of Pastoralism (TOPs) in PRIME Afar, Oromia and Somali Regions with increased access to mainstream vocational skills training and business skills development.
ECDD now seeks the services of legally registered organizations to provide sign language skill training to teachers and administrators of selected four (4) TVET Colleges in Negelle Borena, Jigjiga, Dire Dawa, and Amibar. The sign language training is provided each fifteen(15) days for Negelle Borena, Jigjiga, Dire Dawa, and Amibar TVET Colleges on half day basis every day. The objective of the training is to increase the capacity of teachers and administrators to deliver teaching in sign language for students with hearing impairment.
Price Quotation
Potential organizations are required to submit their detailed price quotations for the following budget lines in order to qualify for the provision of the sign language training
