Reports to: Deputy General Manager
The regional sales manager is responsible for managing the business in regional towns to ensure maximum market penetration. S/he is responsible for all aspects of supervising a sales team as well as developing and executing sales plans. S/he will spend significant time travelling to regional independent dealers’ sites with the remaining time spent at head office working closely with import and logistics departments.
Key duties and responsibilities
Lead the restructuring process of the sales department as a profit centerManage contracts with independent dealersEnsure marketplace competitiveness by developing and optimizing customer relations, establishing sales standards, managing customer service performance and corporate image through customer service surveysSupervise and direct assigned sales representatives to ensure the greatest possible sales and distribution of productsPerform Market Intelligence: identify trends, economic indicators and analyze competitor performance to maintain sales volume; survey consumers’ needs and trends to identify new customer opportunities and new products Handle and manage regional credit sales Conduct periodic meetings with regional sales teamMonitor and report on the regional network and KPI progress to the DGM on a regular basis Monitor and ensure achievement of regional sales operational objectives Develop periodic sales plans for existing and new products Communicate with procurement regarding order placements Determine regional sales work process and system improvementsConduct employee performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvementsConduct regular visits to regional dealers Perform any other related duties assigned by the DGM
Location
Based in Addis Ababa with significant time spent travelling to regional towns
