1. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
a. Demand creation/mobilization activities:
- Communicate with program officers about demand creation at each sites and assuring the appointment days for travelling.
- Work on demand creation/mobilization of clients through discussing with H/C focal person, HEWs and woreda people where there are no officers at the sites and take appointment for service delivery and also follow clients through telephone.
- Support the activities of officers during review meeting, sensitization work shop, coffee ceremony and other events.
- SRHO should prepare their own schedule for their activities
- Participate in selection, training and coaching of Ambassadors/ influencer (satisfied clients) for demand creation.
- Request budget for daily or monthly activities for all activities and travel related to monthly plan.
- Create awareness on vasectomy and tuba- ligation for health centre staff.
- Support and participate in training and coaching of permanent methods FP for government service providers.
b. Infection prevention activities:
- Participate in readiness/preparation of autoclave at centre level and government health centre through discussion with field manager, scrub nurse and focal person at health centre.
- Assuring the readiness of tuba ligation and vasectomy kits and assure the correct sterilization process of the kits.
- Assuring the readiness of oxygen cylinder, emergence kit and consumable materials (lignocaine, syringes, surgical guans and others) consent form and registration format before traveling.
- Participate in appropriate loading and uploading of all necessary materials before travel.
- SRHO should integrate activities such as HIV/AIDs and CA screening and treatment.
c. Service provision and follow up:
- Assess and participate in the preparation of the rooms(make clean) for procedure according to the standard before starting procedure.
- Giving deep counselling for clients before and after each procedure and take their consent for going under the procedure before starting any procedure.
- · Support in creating referral linkage between health centre and HEWs (health posts) and strengthening follow up of clients by HEWs after each procedure at their home through discussion.
- Checking in appropriate registration of the clients before and after procedure and proper reporting the services he/she provided at the facilities.
- Support MSIE centres in only and only providing service on permanent methods of FP with mobile unity vasectomy and tubal ligation kit through discussion with field manager and centre manager and not to do anything related to save abortion. His/her achievement will be captured under mobile unity.
- Support BlueStar clinics in only and only providing service on permanent methods of FP with mobile unity vasectomy and tubal ligation kits, through discussion with field manager and owner of the clinics and not to do anything related to save abortion. His/her achievement will be captured under mobile unity.
d. Capacity building and coaching activities:
- Participate in selection, training and coaching of scrub nurses from government health facilities at each PFS and MIRA sites together with other officers.
- Participate in selection, training and coaching government or BS health service providers (MD/HO) for permanent methods FP.
- Refresh HEWs and satisfied clients on how to mobilize, follow up and refer clients every month forservice provision by appointment and request budget for such activities.

- Minimum 4 years of experience
c. Additional Skills Required:
- Awareness of MOH and donors guidelines
- Conscious of government, MSI and MSIE regulations
- Awareness of concepts and strategies of quality care
- Attendance of MSIE Pre-service training
