Job Summary
Under the supervision and control of the Electrical & Electronics Maintenance Division Manager, the Electrical and Electronics Maintenance Engineer is responsible for giving technical advisory service to the Division on such matters as procurement, installation, application, maintenance and repair of electric power, lighting, wiring & communication systems; installing, maintaining and repairing a variety of electronic equipment; planning and producing blueprints, schematic drawings and layout sketches of installing and wiring electrical systems and electronic equipment; leading a team of technicians on highly skilled electrical and electronic maintenance activities applying knowledge of technical methods, processes, machines and equipment; specifying and ordering parts required to repair electronic defective equipment; adapting existing electronic equipment to specialized needs; adjusting equipment for most effective operation.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Plans and produces blueprints, schematic drawings, and layout sketches of installing and wiring electrical systems and electronic equipment;
2. Gives technical advice in the processes of wiring and installing the company’s power supply system, electronic equipment and electric fittings and fixtures such as generators, switches, circuit breakers, and fuse boxes;
3. Inspects the wiring and fixtures for conformance to company specifications or local electrical codes using test equipment such as voltmeter and the like;
4. Leads a team of technicians on highly skilled electrical and electronic maintenance activities applying knowledge of technical methods, processes, machines and equipment;
5. Reviews maintenance orders and schedules to work out requirement such as types, quantities and specifications of electrical products and scheduled delivery dates in preparation for planning the operation of the Division;
6. Prepares operational and maintenance schedules and advises technical staff on the company’s electrical maintenance activities that demand expertise knowledge;
7. Inspects the electrical systems of machines and equipment to ensure that they are technically sound and fit;
8. Examinees and revises standard operational and working practices and proposes reform measures for management decisions;
9. Tests, diagnoses, locates and troubleshoots electrical and electronic faults using oscilloscope, voltmeter, ohmmeter, vector scopes, waveform monitors and other testing equipment;
10. Specifies and orders parts required to repair electronic defective equipment; adapts existing electronic equipment to specialized needs;
11. Adjusts equipment for most effective operation;
12. Keeps records of work accomplished including creation and maintenance of systems documentation;
13. Performs other job related duties as required by the immediate supervisor.
Tools, Equipment and Work Aids:
• Operates tools, machines and motors.
• Operates computer and application software including AutoCAD.

Education, Training and Experience:
BSC degree in Electrical /Electronic Engineering and 2 year related work experience.
