INTERNAL/EXTERNAL VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT RE-ADVERTIZED
Mission:
To support monitoring and evaluation (M&E) across all HI programme areas and the implementation of the organisational monitoring and evaluation strategy/policy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibility 1: Support the project teams to carry out effective M&E activities
Aim: HI standard M&E policy is understood and appropriately applied with the Ethiopian programme
Activities:
Draft project-specific M&E plans and monitor its implementation in line with the general HI M&E policy;Develop new tools and adapting existing ones as provided by the HI M&E policy according to the programmes’ needs;Set up and maintain a programme data base, compiling information from the projects;Coordinate the annual beneficiary count and send the compiled data to the HQ;Collect additional information if required;Coordinate and compile government reports, HI monthly reports, and others if required ensuring the reports are sent on the deadlines;Prepare action plan and annual report for Charities and Societies Agency. Responsibility 2: Training on and follow up of M&E related topics
Aim: All project teams and other relevant staff (including HI partners) have an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the HI M&E policy and are able to use it appropriately
Activities:
Conduct regular follow ups of projects’ M&E activities, including field visits to project sites;Provide induction training for new staff with regards to M&E according to the responsibilities of the new staff;Conduct regular refresher trainings to project staff;Inform about any new developments in terms of HI M&E policy as required. Responsibility 3: To lead and/or support the implementation of surveys, studies and research
Aim: Implementation of appropriate surveys, studies and other research is ensured
Activities:
Support and/or carry out surveys, studies (including feasibility studies and internal evaluations) based on Terms of References developed by the project teams;Support external evaluations, studies and research based on request from the project teams;Develop and implement annual qualitative assessment of projects, in collaboration with Technical Unit Coordinator. Responsibility 4: To contribute to the programme development and knowledge management
Aim: Programme development takes quality M&E standards into account both during implementation and expansion
Activities:
Compile and maintain Project Documentation Kits (including studies, photos, lessons learned and other relevant project documents), with input from Project Teams.Develop and/or support the set up of effective M&E system in (potential) new projects;Support/coordinate feasibility studies and others if required (see also responsibility 3);Elaborate all communication documents following the Program communication needs and planning (annual report, quarterly newsletter, success stories, newsletter articles, etc.)
