Job Description

Qualifications: Certificate or diploma in teaching

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Professional assessment of each child’s ability and designing a learning program to meet his/her individual needs
2. Provide daily educational support to children on a one-to-one basis within the Retrak program
3. Engage in street outreach to build relationships of trust with children on the street
4. Provide educational lessons to children living on the street using the ‘Mobile School’
5. Provide recreational programme for children on the weekend (Saturday and Sunday)

Work Experience: At least 1 year of experience working in a teaching role is an advantage.

General Skills for all positions:
1. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Amharic
2. Ability to relate well to children, especially street children.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
4. Ability to work within the Christian ethos of Retrak and promote this when required.
