Position: Emergence Project Manager
Duty station: Tigray Programme Area: Sasie Tsaeda Emba & M/Leke Woredas Emergency Nutrition Response
Employment Duration: 10 months

Reports to: Area Manager
Job Purpose
- To implement the emergency nutrition programme as per in-country protocols and international standards. To provide effective and professional leadership/management role for the Woreda Emergency Nutrition intervention project
- Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the emergency nutrition intervention project as per the project proposal and budget secured.
- Co-ordinate and manage project staff and conduct PDR of each of these Officers.
- Assist the project team to develop weekly and monthly objectives and work-plan for the project and ensure that all planned activities are met.
- Coordinate and insure that reports from project officers are received timely, compiled, analysed and submitted.
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and project end reports to Concern, government and donors. Provide both formal and ongoing training to field teams and partners in planning and implementing the project.
- Assist the project logistics officer in tracking & managing allocated fleets, food resources and other supplies
- Contribute to budget preparation and revision as necessary and ensure the proper and timely utilisation of the allocated project budget
- Monitor staffing needs and assist the recruitment of local staff and support staff development through coaching and mentoring to enhance the capacity of project and partner staff
- Ensure good collaboration and participation of government and other relevant partners.
- Liaise with relevant and national and international NGOs operating in the area and government bodies to ensure information sharing and coordination, regarding response plans, agreements and reports.
- Ensuring that Monitoring & Evaluation plans are implemented with the involvement of relevant stakeholders
- Ensuring that all project partners have a clear understanding of Monitoring & Evaluation requirements and incorporate them in the project implementation
Qualifications and Experience Required;
Essential;
- MSc or BSc. degree in Public Health, Nutrition or other related fields with minimum of 3 years or 6 years relevant experience respectively in an emergency as well as development context;
- Minimum of 3 years NGO experience
- Management experience in wider emergency response programmes
- Finance Management skills and some experience in donor compliances
- Excellent ability to write good quality reports and proposals in English.
- Experience in CMAM programme is advantageous
DESIRABLE
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill; Self-starter, flexible, reliable, culturally sensitive,
- Be able to work with minimal supervision
- The ability to work in teams/isolated situation and stressful environments and under pressure meeting deadlines.
