We are recruiting to fill the position:
Special Assistant to the CEO
Reporting to: Chief Executive Office
Duty Station: Head Office-Addis Ababa
JOB PURPOSE
The Office of the CEO is made out of five key functional units Corporate Communication, Project Management, ECX institute ad Internal Audit. The role of the Special Assistant to the CEO is to plan, organize, direct, coordinate, facilitate and follow up the activities of the units in the Office. Produce a consolidate action plan of the units under the Office that is aligned to the strategic and operational plan of the Exchange and ensures its implementation. He/she is expected to lead, manage and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the Office.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Under the general supervision of the CEO, plans, organizes, directs and controls the activities of the Office of the CEO.
- Produces action plan of the Office that is aligned to the strategic and, operational plan of the Exchange and ensures its implementation.
- Manages and coordinates the day-to-day activities of the Office of the CEO.
- Drafts local and international correspondences, presentations, and speeches for the CEO.
- Handle key correspondences and schedules of the Office.
- Defines and amass essential information from internal and external sources and make available to the Office.
- Coordinates and facilitates the participation of the ECX in kcal and international events..
- Ensures the Office’s smooth working relations with stakeholders especially with members, the media, and partners.
- Develops ways and means for improving the communication activities of. the Office.
- Produces, distributes and follow up invitations to individuals and organizations to events organized by the Office.
- Coordinates and hosts incoming visitors, and guests of the Office in association with the Communication Team.
- Conducts research and analysis of various issues as directed by the CEO.
- Follow up preparation and timely submission of periodic reports to the Office.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned by the CEO.
Required Qualification and Experience;
- BA or MA in Economics, Business Management, Business Administration, Management and Journalism and Communication or any other related field. Second degree is preferred.
- BA and 8 years of experience or MA and 6 years of experience in hands-on/ demonstrated experience in managing correspondences and schedules, coordination activities and corporate events, as well as producing reports and experience in corporate communications.
- Excellent writing analytical and communications skills
- Skilled in using Microsoft Office Applications such as Outlook Ms project Excel etc.
