Nurse for Drop in Centre

Job Description

Major Duties:
1. Provide professional assessment of children’s health when they enter the program
2. Referral of children to appropriate health services
3. Provide basic health care for children and ensure general hygiene of the centre
4. Provide Life Skills lessons to children on health related issues
5. Contribute to Child Care Review and staff meetings

Qualifications: Diploma in nursing

Work Experience: At least 1 year of experience working as a nurse is an advantage

General Skills for all positions:
1. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Amharic
2. Ability to relate well to children, especially street children.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
4. Ability to work within the Christian ethos of Retrak and promote this when required.
