OBJECTIVE


 


CARE seeks a variety of program and program support positions to support various projects that are working to build resilience and reinforce coping strategies of households that are impacted by drought.  All projects are complex, work in partnership with other humanitarian and development actors including national organisations, government, and international. Positions are both based in Addis but also in field offices. All positions require individuals that are committed to addressing the needs of the poorest and most marginalized and promoting the role of women.


 


Positions and key responsibilities are as follows:


·         EU-Project: Learning, Design and Monitoring Manager: (BIII – $933) 1 based in Addis. This position is overall responsible for all monitoring and evaluation activities, learning and reflection and key support in reporting and documentation.


Required,


MA/BA in Social since, Statistics and related field with 5 years of experience.


 


·         EU –Project: Agricultural Diversification Advisor: (AI- $990) 1 position based in Addis: This position will provide technical guidance to CARE and partner field teams in technical aspects to strategies to diversify.


Required,


 MSC/BSC, MA/BA in a agriculture, Economics, Statistics and related field with 5 years of experience.


 


·         EU-Project: Livelihoods and income generating activities Advisor: (AI – $990) 1 position based in Addis This position will provide technical guidance to field level livelihoods specialist to ensure quality technical support in VSLA, income generation, business development and access to MFIs


Required,


 MA/BA in Business, Economics, Social since and related field with 5 years of experience.


·         EU-Project: Cash Based Procurement Advisor: (BIII – $933) 1 position based in Addis: This recovery project will use market based procurement policies with MFIs, vouchers and other systems. This position will provide overall guidance and technical support.

·         EU-Project: Gender and accountability Advisor: (AI- $990) 1 position based in Addis: Overall technical advise and support to ensure that all project activities address gender diversity and respond to industry global standards in accountability in line with HAP.

 MA/BA in Social since, Gender and related field with 5 years of experience.


      EU-Project Early Warning and DRR Advisor: (AI – $990) 1 position based in Addis: Overall technical advise to the Coordinator and field teams to ensure that best practice approaches on early warning and DRR are integrated. Liaison with government and UN counterparts and ensuring information flow is two ways.


Required,


MA/BA in agricultural economics, Economics Management and related field with 5 years of experience.
