The Nutrition Project Officer under take all nutrition related activities; organize different training including introducing nutrition sensitive agriculture, ENA, IMYCIN, and cooking demonstration on nutritionally dense food, help community identifies learning agendas and document lessons.
Duties and responsibilities
o Facilitate and ensure the Enhanced Community Conversation on nutrition is conducted in VESA group meetings.
o Follow and facilitate implementation of livelihood and economic strengthening activities jointly planned with the GRAD implementation modalities
o support targeted households on homestead production of nutrient-dense vegetables and fruits including their promotion at Farmer Training Centers (FTCs) and GRAD Model Farmers with a technical support from ENGINE
o ensure local implementing partners delivers the activities as per the approved join work plan
o Will introduce improved poultry production into GRAD project package of livelihood interventions to improve nutrition and income for women
o Participate in training/learning material development related to nutrition knowledge development ;
o Integrate cross cutting issues – gender, HIV/AIDS and environment- in the normal project activities;
o Promote and ensure organizational values and principles;
o Prepare and submit plan and reports to Field Office Manager;
o Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
· Education
BSc in human Health and Nutrition related or Health Officer or other Health Extension related profession or Nutrition related field of education.
· Experience
4 years of experience in relevant work
