Summary: The Cashier-Receptionist will greet and check in all patients reporting to the medical office in a professional and courteous manner. She will be responsible for accurate check-in, check-out where applicable, information capture and revenue collection per procedures. She will be responsible for having a general knowledge of the clinic in order to assist patients with questions and concerns.
Position Responsibilities:
Greet and assist patientsFollow appropriate Patient Registration /Check-in and Check-out Policies and ProceduresAssist professional staff with patient coordination; schedule follow-up visits and answer calls/book appointments as necessary Determine patient’s benefits according to their benefit displayAccess necessary information from the fee schedule to determine appropriate fees based on service codes in order to collect appropriate revenueCollect feesComply with all applicable Cash Handling Policies and proceduresGenerate appropriate invoice forms per procedure Capture and populate fees in the cash register and electronic medical record system
Necessary Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills Computer skills Ability to multi-task Experience in healthcare billing preferred Very strong written and oral communication skills
Job Requirements
TVET or college diploma from a recognized CollegeRequired experiences & Skills: Minimum of four years’ experience as a cashier/receptionist OR related post.Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc)
