As a Production Merchandiser you will take full responsibility from the time an order is placed to the order having been shipped by using the internal system called Order follow up together with the samples.

ACCOUNTABILITY
The Production Merchandiser is accountable to:
- Make sure that methods and routines are followed and executed in an optimized way
- Support colleagues in understanding, planning and creating a good dialogue between all Order Follow Up colleagues, suppliers and the Buying Office
- Mentor/train other staff members as appropriate.
Main Responsibilities
Product developments and quotations
- Take full responsibility from the time an order is received from the quotation team to the order having been shipped
- Analyze the order upon receipt together with the Senior Merchandiser. Make sure that all details are correct
- Follow up the order by using the Order Follow-up System and use deadlines as a help to keep track of order status
- Follow up on all relevant samples and ensure that samples are ordered through the Order Follow-up System
- Ensure that Time of Delivery is on time
- Work actively with the samples together with technicians
- Work actively with risk assessment of fabric and sample quality tests and communicate with suppliers
- Solve problem and share
Cooperation with other teams
- Cooperate with the other teams such as Quotation team, Researcher and Developer (R&D), Technicians and Quality Assurance team
- Initiate order follow-up meetings with the rest of the team whenever necessary
- Keep Senior Merchandisers updated on the general order situation
Cooperation between the Buying Office, Supply Chain and H&M suppliers
- Create a good dialogue with Buyers and Assistants in the Buying Office/Global Purchasing Organization. Understand their priorities and act accordingly
- Work proactively and submit updates to the Buying Office/Global Purchasing Organization
- Take the initiative to find solutions together with technicians and give suggestions to the Buying Office/Global Purchasing Organization
- Understand supplier capability in terms of price, quality, capacity and lead time
- Secure effective order placement to suppliers based on company routine
- Keep track of suppliers’ production plan to ensure on-time delivery
- Keep close contact with suppliers to know the status of orders at all times
- Degree in garment-related field
- Experience in a relevant role
- Experience in a manufacturing company is an asset
- General knowledge of export trade and documentation requirements
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication and organizational skills
