Climate Change Forum-Ethiopia would like to recruit a Climate Action Network Officer in Addis Ababa on affixed term contract.

Position: – Climate Action Network Officer

Education:- A minimum of Masters Degree (MSc) in one of the following areas of specialization: Environment and Development, Geography, Natural Resources Management, Forestry, Agriculture, or related field; In addition to the above qualification, training on journalism and communication is advantageous.

Requirements:

• Prepare concept notes, full project proposals and fund-raising documents on the objectives of the Forum to solicit funds Work on networking climate actors and stakeholders Prepare, update and disseminate information and feedbacks on website, brochures, flyers, newsletter and other means


• Engage in awareness, workshops and advocacy on Climate Change


• Assess gaps and do intervention on climate change adaptation, mitigation and livelihood diversification


• Prepare training manuals and implement them


• Prepare strategic plan, do implementation, monitoring and evaluation.


• Prepare all standard regular reports and minutes


• Undertake other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Experiences:- a minimum total service of four years for MSc and two years for PhD applicants. Experiences on NGO have advantages

Place of employment: Fixed term contract.
