Base Logistician

Job Description

1. Assist in carrying out logistics activities

Manage the base’s vehicle park and equipment:
Ensure follow-up of the fleet (repairs, maintenance, fuel consumption) ; of Acf Vehicles and Rental Vehicles Assigned in Hiran.
Be in charge of the drivers
Prepare in collaboration with the other departments the drivers schedule.
Ensure that all the ACF vehicle are properly maintained.
Ensure a proper follow up of the rented cars.
Ensure that all the drivers adhere to the ACF driving rule using always a defensive driving style .
Ensure that the equipment is used properly.
Ensure a proper maintenance of the generators.
Be responsible of the proper filling of the vehicles and generator log book
Manage the restoration and maintenance:

Ensure that the structures necessary for the base to function are restored and maintained: offices, programmes, premises, and warehouse and ACF guest houses.
Reports:

Compile the motor cost report
2. Participate in the security management of the base:

Participate in collecting information;
Make sure that the security rules are respected;
Follow the transfers.
Be in charge of the guards.
Ensure a proper schedule for guards.
Ensure that the guards follow the ACF security procedure
3. Supervise the logistic team by delegation:

Draw up a work plan;
Delegate the activities and check that they are properly executed;
Organize training sessions;
Carry out appraisal interviews.
Provide technical support to the team if necessary.
Job Requirements

Educational Background
Degree/Diploma in procurement and supplies management or related field from a recognized university/college with three years relevant experience/ 5-7years relevant experience respectively. NGO experience is advantageous

Required skills: Computer skills (MS Word, Excel and Internet) – Good organizing capacity – Diplomacy – Rigour – Autonomy – Transparency – Resourcefulness – Management – English – humanitarian spirit – team leading – hard-working, Knowing the Local Language.
