Responsible for the Demand, Production and Supply Planning for all operations of Ahadukes Food Products SC. Manages planning on a country basis.
- Integrated Production Operation Vision
The Planning manager achieves the best overall planning result for the organization by balancing customer service levels, working capital, asset utilization and operating cost
· Create a vision of world class Supply Chain Planning (people, processes, systems and agreements/targets) and engage the rest of the organization in realizing this.
· Create awareness on costs and benefits of improving planning performance.
· Mobilize other departments/functions in order to achieve a better planning performance.
- Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
The Planning Manager is responsible for the S&OP process integrating the different operations of Ahadukes.
· Create a vision on S&OP and apply it within the organization.
· Create company-wide awareness on benefits of improving S&OP performance, and the required effort/cost.
· Run the monthly S&OP process linking supply chain, commercial and financial departments and data.
· Translate S&OP decisions into high-level consequences for every individual functional discipline.
- Operation Planning – monthly, weekly & daily
Creates an optimal sales, inventory and production plan to achieve required customer service levels, taking into account production constraints and available resources.
· Translate demand plans into inventory plans/stock plans/capacity plans for production resources (on aggregate and detailed level).
· Generate balanced production plans minimizing overtime and idle capacity.
· Create detailed operation plan.
· Make cost-optimal decisions regarding production allocation and order quantities (call-offs).
· Define optimal inventory policy of the Factory and the distribution network.
- Planning Process Execution
The Planning Manager has to improve the quality of the plans by ensuring the appropriate planning process is followed.
Project Management
· Apply project management methodologies to set up and/or improve the Planning process in a structured way.
Planning Process
· Ensure that the information flow related to the various planning processes is respected.
· Ensure information is shared in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinate activities of the Planning organization
· Functionally manage and enable to execute activities in the Planning process.
· Organize the activity of the team so that all objectives are fully reached.
· Escalate issues to senior MT/GM S&OP management when required.
· Ensure that the information flow related to the various planning processes is respected.
- Planning Tools and Method
· Enable an efficient and effective planning process by applying the right tools/methods in the right way.
· Identify gaps between actual and required performance of planning tools/methods.
· Improve the performance of existing tools/methods and initiate activities to explore the usage of alternative planning tools/methods when required.
- Commercial Alignment
The Planning Manager has to trade off commercial and supply chain objectives.
· Collaborate to define optimal customer service levels (e.g. order size, order frequency).
· Effectively cooperate with Commercial Department to ensure an accurate forecast and feasible demand plan.
· Ensure the effective incorporation of the NPI process within the Supply Chain Planning processes.
- Financial Alignment
The Planning Manager effectively incorporates the financial impact of planning decisions.
· Decide on planning issues taking the financial impact into account.
· Define the impact of supply chain performance on financial performance.
· Ensure the decision-making process in the planning area is based on sound financial analysis and information.
· Measure financial impact of planning decisions in terms of working capital, operational cost, asset utilization, investments and revenue.
- Stakeholder Management
The Planning Manager incorporates the interests of all stakeholders to create company-wide awareness and alignment on the plans.
· Cooperate with various departments within the organization on the planning process by challenging the underlying parameters.
· Create awareness on the advantages of an effective Planning process by reporting quantitative and qualitative information to relevant stakeholders.
· Influence people’s behaviour in the Planning process by aligning targets and enforcing personal involvement from stakeholders.
· Conduct training sessions or workshops to create awareness within the organization.
- Management Reporting
The Planning Manager facilitates optimal decision-making by regular reporting.
· Achieve a common and accepted KPI dashboard giving clear insight into company performance on commercial, supply chain and financial areas.
· Establish a common S&OP deck in line with Company standard.
· Establish and improve the reporting structure needed to support the S&OP scenario analysis and the decision making process.
· Achieve the required level of detail which gives the best possible insight into S&OP related topics and performance in the most effective way.
- Personal Development
Develop and monitors own Personal Development Plan
· BSc Degree in Economics or equivalent
· 5 – 8 years experience in Sales, Production & Supply Planning in an industrial environment
