Microbiologist Job at Heineken Brewery - 2015

Purpose of Position  
performs any of the various analyses in the microbiology laboratory, particularly inputs, process out ,final product,  production facilities , packaging materials,  physical production  environment  to  ensure  attainment of microbiological standards,

Responsible for  each batch  analysis  results  of microbiological samples Responsible for the consumption of chemicals and handling of Microbiological    Lab. equipments  
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY


Conducts planned and unplanned microbiological analyses and maintain records accurately according to accepted standard, such that the microbiology laboratory is compliant with company standard and national regulations necessary for inputs and product certification.

Perform and report routine Microbiological analysis of direct and indirect inputs,Yeast examination, yeast isolation, propagation and refreshment of yeast strain, Perform Microbiological test on Malt Fungal inspectionperform microbiological examination of brewing and operational waterconduct inspection and Microbiological test of   production process facilities , pipelines, soaking baths,  tanks, draught line,  Air supply system,  kegs, and MMS  Sanitation and sterilization Conduct Microbiological analysis of intermeddle and final products and by-product  

Fermentation beer, maturation beer, filtered beer,bottled productsDraught productsWaste water analysis,check microbiological status of air supply systemPerform Microbiological tests  of CCPs/PRPs plus samples  Prepare Microbiological preparations and involve in GLP and GMP.

involve in implementation of  statistical process control  tools participate in preparation HARA samples,  analyze of samples    and send  samples  + taking corrective actions (Heineken Analytical Ring Analysis),participate in preparation of  HSRA samples + taking corrective actions (Heineken Analytical Ring Analysis),prepare samples for   integrity tests and RBs sampling by sending routine and special samples of beer, malt, water and others to HSC and analyse the results participate in maintaining  records on  calibration of  laboratory testing equipments , calibration of  measuring of equipment at  production, ,utilities and Purchasing  Implement   laboratory safety rules and procedures Performs other duties of a similar nature Generate reports

Participate in preparation of  monthly, quarterly and annual  reportsTimely report and notification on  the non conformity and out of range products  to respective department . Involve in the implementation of  ISO 9001 – 22000 and 18000.

 Involve in the ISO 2200:2005, (Food safety), HACCP, ISO 14001: 2004 and 18000 systems implementation processInvolve in food safety risk assessment.Follow up corrective and preventive actions.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, industrial microbiology, Biology or applied biology,.
Experience: 0ne years experience in the laboratory with knowledge in ISO  and Food  safety system
Language: Good command of, English. French is a plus.
Computer knowledge: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
 
MINIMUM COMPETENCIES REQUIRED AT TIME OF HIRE:

Knowledge of microbiology and various forms of preparations , sampling techniquesKnowledge of the theory and operation of instrumentation in the microbiology laboratory, i.e. microscope, centrifuge, autoclave, etc., and ability to conduct modern microscopic techniques.Knowledge of brewing process  and the equipment used to conduct microbiological analysisKnowledge of product safety and   regulations.PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS:

Occasionally climbs stairs.Occasionally works extended periods of time and on weekends.Occasionally works during emergencies and after hours when necessary.Frequently reads gauges, charts, meters, and must distinguish colors.Frequently must hear leaks and detect odors.ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

Continuously works in lab and production  environment.Frequently works with hot materials and hazardous chemical agents.Occasionally encounters odors, dust, fumes poor ventilation
