Job Description
General Assignment:
Implement the logistics policy of the mission to ensure good logistical performance and provide the best possible support to the base’s during gaps and also build capacity of the base accordingly
Duties and Responsibilities:
1: Provide Capacity Building/Training for teams in the base/capital
Assess gaps of the logistical capacities of the bases and provide SWAT analysis to CLM with possible solutions.
Provide general logistics training (KIT Log), and also provide refreshment training where necessary according to plan and/or upon request from the CLM.
2: Fill Logistics Technician/Base Logistician positions at the base level during gaps
Fill gaps at the base and capital level whenever the base Log/Logistics Technician is vacant or assigned as necessary.
Provide support to the base during new program launch/bulky procurement/supply process.
Participate in emergency need assessments upon request and participate in emergency operation set up
Carry out market surveys in bases upon CLM request and in collaboration with DCLM
3: Review & Compile Mission Logistics and Donor Reports
Review reports generated by each bases from base Logistician/Log Technician’s on a monthly bases.
Provide constructive feedback to the base and compile reports according to the latest version of Kit Log standard.
Submit the final report to CLM as per the reporting deadline
Prepare logistics audit files to be sent to HQ when requested
Participate in the new budget preparation, forecasting procurement/supplies of costs from procurement follow up database in collaboration with DCLM and provide the final draft to CLM for validation.
Prepare Project Procurement Plan (PPP) and Supply Plan (SP) during the process of proposal development in consultation with the programs (Technical Adviser’s, Program Manager’s.
4: Additional Responsibilities;
Actively participate with the CLM/DCLM in reviewing system/process whenever requested by CLM.
Perform any duties assigned by immediate supervisor
Job Requirements
Qualification/Level of studies: Degree/Diploma in procurement and supplies management or related field from a recognized university/college with three years relevant experience/ 5-7years relevant experience respectively. NGO experience is advantageous
